Vig Problems...Graph Inside!

I don't know what's going on with the torque converter. It will spike up and go down and repeats. I don't know what's going on with it...can you tell anything from this graph??

Thanks!

Re: Vig Problems...Graph Inside!

What RPM was that? Or tell me what gears you have and I can figure that out myself...

My guess is your running 3.23 if your run was between 75 and 130 in 3rd gear
if so that puts your first dip being stall lock at about 3600 RPMs
the second on is unknown at about 4900 RPM's
and the third is almost normal at the end of the run and apears to be about 5500 RPM's

This is all going off of my assumption that you are runnign 3.23 gears..

BTW, what was changed if anything betwen the runs?

Re: Vig Problems...Graph Inside!

I do, indeed, have 3.23 gears and it was run in 3rd gear. Is it normal for those spikes?

The increase was because of a 75 shot. Unfortunately, the car dynoed at 360rwhp and then they took away 2* away and lost about 20rwhp. I have a retard box, but they said that it was not the best thing to put on a LT1.

Thanks for the help...does everything seem normal?

Re: Vig Problems...Graph Inside!

The only thing that is odd is the dip @ about 4900 RPM's, and how it happened both on and off the juice at the exact same spot, and it may not have anything to do with the converter because of its exact same effect on HP and TQ..
Notice how when the conveter locks at the stall speed there is a slight lag in the drop between TQ and HP, and then again at the end of the run, this is normal to a point, but the dip in the middle that effects both HP and TQ at the same point on the graph makes me wonder if is something else, anything from knock detection, OPTI, plugs, misfire, tuning...

Did you log your A/F or do any other data logging during the run?
