vibration

Hey guys i just bought a 96 z28 6 spd (my 5th camaro now) and i realized on the way home a lil but more so now that i have been driving around that if im juss sittin still idling n rev up the engine to anything above 3500 rpms i get a very noticeable vibration from underneath the car its worse when driving it if i take it above liek 3200 rpms ne thing above that i get a very bad vibration from wat feels like right underneath the shifter in the center of the car i was thinking it could be my driveshaft or possibly the torque arm maybe a rubber bushing worn or something i havent really got to get underneath the car and look yet and as far as i know it might not even have to do with either the driveshaft or the torque arm those r juss guesses so has ne one else ever experienced ne thing like this or have an opinion as to wat might be the problem and wat i should do to fix it becuz right now i can deal with juss driving it around and shifting at 3000 rpms but ide still like to kno wat it is cuz as far as i kno it could be an easy fix but i dont really wanna dump a bunch of money into this z liek i was plannin on in the next few weeks if its somethin thats goin to turn into more of a problem thanks in advance for any advice u's might have

if you can get it to happen just sitting there and reving it over 3500 it's not the driveshaft it could be an engine or clutch balance issue also try reving it with tranny in neutral and let out clutch and see if it changed at all

I might have a similar situation with my '94. It's not bad enough to feel a vibration revving the engine, but on idle if I listen under the car I will sound like a clack....clack... every two seconds or so. It's not very loud at all, almost not noticeable but I have a very trained ear now to this vehicle and I think the noise is something wrong. Sounds like it's coming from around the area of the flywheel. I think it might be out of balance. The front seal leaks and always has, despite being replaced twice. The crankshaft goes through this seal, and if something was out of balance, it might wobble just a little and cause the unstoppable leak in the front.
They put weights on the flywheel in the factory when they balance it I think. Maybe one of them fell off on yours, or maybe your clutch is poorly balanced. I don't know if either of these is common but it's a thought. Also, as I remember they put little weights in the vibration damper for balancing, and they tell you to be sure you put the damper back on the same way if you take it off.
