Valvoline Max Life ATF

Anybody tried it? Wonder if it's just another gimmick or if it's comapable to the motor oils of said trend. I sortof feel like you shouldn't experiment with the tranny like you do the engine with oils so I don't wanna "try" something that may not work. Too much work to change it if it acts funny.

My car has 110k, I'm going to change the tranny filter for what is most likely the first time ever. I had it flushed at about 75k. Pulls good but wants to get stuck in between gears when going around curves and accelerating.

What do you mean, "stuck between gears"?
Anyway, Valvoline makes good products. Most high mileage products have extra seal conditioners to keep them from becomming brittle, probably other stuff I have no clue about.

It doesn't leak so I sortof discount the seal conditioner benefit.

When going around a curve and accelerating, it's like riding the clutch in a stick - it won't grab. RPM's will climb (not uncontrollably) and if I gas it it'll grab one of the two gears it's searching for. When it grabs it grabs good, no slipping feeling...

I used the term b/c it was an accurate "what it feels like" description, not what I think is literally happening.

In a straight line, I have no problems at all, even at WOT, but during a curve, accelerating, it'll do it with the least amount of gas.

Does 95 have electronic tranny or is it still controlled by a TV cable? If it's cable, try adjusting it.

Last time one of my trannys did that it only got worst. A week or two later I started losing gears. Had to be rebuilt.
