Question Vacuum modulation

I purchased a vac mod conversion with my 4L60E rebuild kit. There seems to be a bunch of differing opinions on the reliability of vacuum modulation. Can someone set the record straight and explain the pros/cons?

Re: Vacuum modulation

You wont get a good answer. I read through a thread not to long ago here about it which featured two big name tranny sponsors and supporters. Basiclly what I got from it was vac mods work but are outdated or bandaids or something. I believe they said with current technology and a tuner that know what they are doing is the best route. Good read but not enough to sway one way or the other.

Re: Vacuum modulation

I use the vacuum modulation in all of my Street/Strip & Pro Street setups. We have many of them out there with much success. There are a few in the low to mid ten's, doing very well. I would not use these if they presented any kind of problems, as I have a one year warranty on all of my units. Let me know if I can be of help?
