V6 and Z28 Rearend difference

What is the difference between the 93-97 V6 and Z28 rear ends besides possible drum brakes?

Re: V6 and Z28 Rearend difference

drum brakes vs. disc, posi vs. non posi, and the gear ratios were different. Most v6's came w/ 3.08's I believe.

Not neccesarily.

Rear drums were standard from 93-97 V6s (96-97 Y87 equipped cars got rear discs, 98-02 4 wheel discs were standard.)

Gear ratios changed around. They can range from 3.08, to 3.23, to 3.42.

General info

Y87 stuff
