V6 and V8 rear end any difference?

I found a wrecked 98 V6 camaro with GU6 witch its rear-end supposed to be 3.42 ratio so now I'm wondering is it possible to swap my 3.23 rear-end with a V6's one?, Is there any difference between LS1 and V6's rearend? Mine starts screaming on highway (long time) so it time to replace it?

I already did a search I did not find a specific answer

Thanks in advance

Should be an easy swap out- just have to get your computer reprogrammed for the new gear ratio.

Not sure really I will check it tomorrow however looks alike with my rear-end both have ABS sensor on the top, in fact I don't care weather its a posi or an open diff. GM calculation was suck for 10 bolt anyway , I just want to get rid if whining sound from my car

Thank you

If it's a stock rear 93-98 it has an Auburn, if it's a 99-02 then it's a Torsen and synth 75-90/80-90 with a bottle of friction modifier will do for either one.
