v6 rear end?

i'm doing v6 to lt1 conversion.... keep the v6 rear end or put a z28 rear end in?... the z28 has disk brakes and the v6 has drums. what about the gear though?... i already have both, so i just want some opinions

Re: v6 rear end?

I would switch to the Z28, not based on brakes alone, but because a Z28 will have a limited slip differential.

You're V6 rear MAY have an LSD, but because it has rear drums I doubt it.....what year are you pulling it from? Look for the option code Y87, that means you have an LSD in your V6 rear.
