Used Ring & Pinion

I am thinking of buying a ring and pinion from a guy pretty cheap. He said it has about 10k miles on it.
Would there be any problem setting up a gearset with that many miles on it. Is it even worth messing with?

I would inspect the gears for any knicks and also you want to makes sure that the drive and coast pattern of the gears look good.

Thanks. I didn`t want to waste money on something that couldn`t be set up corectly.
BTW, The slicks you asked about in the for sale section, I have decided to just keep them, thanks anyways.
