Upgrading T56 - D&D vs Donato Engineering.

I am looking at upgrading a t56 ASAP and find that these are the two places that sell upgrade parts/kits. Has anyone looked into what these two companies sell to see which is better?

Thanks.

I have heard nothing but good things about D&D. They are quite popular with the stang guys. I am leaning towards the viper t-56 setup they offer down the line.

I rebuilt my T56 with D&D internals. I also bought the 3/4 fork.
The first thing I noticed about the D&D kit is that the blocker rings internal surface is covered with friction material. GM parts are covered with oval pads. The 3/4 fork is hands down better.
The kit is very complete. Rings, dogs, pads, clips etc...

I've been getting my parts from D&D and have had no problems. When I did my Viper conversion D&D did not offer it. I talked to Don Walsh the owner and he said that it was a feasible swap so I did the DIY Shaft conversion. Definately one of the better drivetrain upgrades. No experience to share about Donato.

Hey kmook, have you checked with Jordan Musser? I sent mine to him to have him rebuild it, but i think he sells the parts also.

I am fortunate enough to live within a half hour of D&D. I have been there a couple of times and the shop is top notch and the people are even better. Always willing to give info over the phone for whatever you are doing. Their synchro kit and steel fork are a perfect upgrade and the new Viper shaft will handle cars in the 9's!!

Let us know what you come up with.
I've never heard anything bad about either one
