what type of transmission does a 2002 Z28 have. its an automatic and where can you find a slap shifter/ratchet shifter?

 

4L60E and you can find the shifters on jegs or summitt

 

i dont think there would be a performance benefit to a ratchet style shifter...but for asthetics you could try ebay or do a google search for MBA. they carry a line of shift ***** that are ~40 and make an adapter to fit on the 4L60E.
