Twisted driveshaft slipjoint splines?

Has anyone every twisted the splines on the driveshaft slipjoint? I was removing my Denny's nitrous ready driveshaft yesterday so I can pull the tranny and had a very hard time getting it out. Once it finally came out I looked in the slip yoke and about 3/4 of the way down the splines are shifted just enough so it isn't a straight shot all the way down to the bottom.

I guess I will have to send it back to Denny's.

Yeah you will need a new yoke. When I broke my output shaft on my car my output shaft was stuck in the Denny's slip yoke and would not come out at all. You might want to upgrade to the billet yoke. BTW Denny's will not cover the yoke for the warranty only the driveshaft itself...just a heads up.

Thanks Matt, that's kind of what I figured. BTW I am having some problems with the street twin I bought from you. I had it installed back in march and it worked fine, then all of a sudden it wouldn't fully disengage. So I then adjusted the master cylinder to get it to fully disengage and now the engagement point is at the top of the pedal stroke and I am getting a terrible ticking noise. I am in the process of pulling the tranny to see what is going on with the clutch.

the ticking noise is probably the fork hitting the pressure plate from too much throw!

Okay Jordan I'll readjust that. Do you have any idea why the clutch wouldn't fully disengage?

I would think that the only reason that the clutch is not fully disengaging is that the throwout bearing is not being pulled back enough to disengage the clutch. That is weird that the clutch worked for that long and just all of a sudden started having disengagement problems. It has got to be in the throwout bearing, the clutch fork, or the steel mounting tab of the clutch fork (was this machined down too much?). Just giving you some ideas.
