Trouble with Reverse

This problem just started yesterday. I took the Z out since it was somewhat of a nice day for about 45 mins. I came back home and went to throw it in reverse to back it into the garage and well it wont ingauge. So i threw it in 5th and then tried again and nothing. All i got was a grinding noise. I took i to the church parking lot across the street so i had room to mess with it. I was able to get in to go into reverse but i have to keep a lot or force on it to stay in gear. So i tried again when i got home and it held in gear half way up the driveway without me pushing on it. Now my question is...Is this my reverse syncro failing on me? And if so is it the rear section of the T-56 i have to take off?

You can just flip the reverse synco ya know. It only engages on one side. The reverse is inside the tailhousing.

You will see when you take it out. Reverse only uses one side of it's syncro. The other side doesn't get used. When you flip it around, tada, new syncro
