Transmission Question

I have a 95 camaro Z28 6 speed manual and planning to buy a used engine since mine is knocking...but the engine for sale comes with an automatic transmission...What would I need to place my own T-56 to the engine...Would it work...?.Would I need to buy additional parts? Would it work...Please help.

Re: Transmission Question

All I can think you would need is a pilot bushing or bearing for the rear of the crank. It's needed for the pilot shaft of the manual trans (you'll see when you pull the trans on both).

Re: Transmission Question

^^^ this OP

Just transfer your FW, clutch, bell housing over to the new motor

You can buy a pilot bearing or bushing at most auto parts stores.
