transmission jack adapter ?

anyone have one of these guys? Does it work ok? I just did a t56 swap and it was a HUGE pita to install it with a normal jack.

heres one, expensive, but just an example...

Re: transmission jack adapter ?

I just made one out of a piece of plywood with 2 2"X2" pieces of wood attched along each side to prevent the tranny from rolling off. Once I jacked up the jack under the tranny I just held the tranny on with a come-along strap. It worked quite nicely and did not take long to make. I bolted the tranny cradle to my jack with a single bolt after removing the standard jacking pad that comes with the jack. I hope that makes sense.

Harbor Freight sells an inexpensive tranny jack that includes a mounting strap. This in not an adaptor, it's the entire jack that works well for the T56 and automatics.
