Transmission Cooler Lines

Does anyone know which line (top or bottom) is the feed to the cooler and which is the return? I'm going to be running the factory transmission cooler in line with a B&M and need to know which one is the return so I can hook it up correctly.

Also, one other thing. I will be using Earls steel braided lines and fittings to replace the return line and hook up the radiator cooler to the B&M one. I know it's a bad idea to use teflon tape on transmission lines but would it be ok to use some thread sealer around the fitting that goes into the transmission. It looks like i'd have to drop the transmission in the event it starts leaking so i want to do everything I can to make sure it won't.

Re: Transmission Cooler Lines

Transmission fluid is fed to the cooler on the bottom hose and returns on the top hose.
