transmission coolant lines
Does anyone know of a tool or a method to tighten/remove/reconnect the transmission coolant lines? I hooked them up when I installed the transmission and they are leaking BADLY. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: transmission coolant lines
Disconnect em, and clean em up real well, chase the threads with a fingernail and paper towel, if they are gunked up with old tranny fluid when you tighten up they will not seat all the way.
Male sure you push the flared fitting all the way in first before you tighten down the fitting.
As much as other people say no.... teflon tape if used sparingly and installed in such a manner as to not allow ANY to get in tranny and clog valve body (if auto) will help seal any imperfections, just one wrap near the top of the threads farthest from the end leave a 1/16 or 1/8" gap with no teflon there.

Re: transmission coolant lines
Alright, thank you both. Also, as for the line wrench, I looked around AutoZone for something like that, would it be the same as a flare wrench (I think thats the name of it). I have a few of those, but the problem I'm having is getting ANYTHING up there.. Such a tight space. Someone once suggested "crows feet" or "crows claws", I haven't tried them yet, but I am seriously considering that.
Any thoughts?
Thanks again!
