when going from complete stop to motion, rpms climb high before it jumps forward to go. then when going the rpms climb high again until gas is let off then put back on and goes again and does not have that problem after the second shift. but when stopping, when almost at complete stop, hearing almost a grind like and then a clunk. need new tranny or just serviced??

 

Hmm, you may have just burnt up first or something. How does the fluid look? Is it low?

 

fluid is light reddish brown and is full by the indication marker

 

did u smell the fluid, do you have a stall converter

 

does not smell unusual, burnt. no dont have stall converter. about a year or so ago i had my tranny serviced and the guy who did it said that he put a 1st to 2nd short shift in it and it was doing great until a couple of days ago, then today just went down.

 

gonna take it in to have it serviced tomorrow.....
