Re: Trans Swap

I followed this write-up for my 95. Not too sure if the plugs will be the same or not. Great mod and not that hard to do. Good luck

Re: Trans Swap

When you pull the trans, make sure you get any of the plugs that are on the trans, with a length of wire still attached. Otherwise you have to buy them from GM.
You will need to get the master/slave, pedal assembly, crossmember, console, flywheel.......Just take a good look at the guide posted.

Re: Trans Swap

The wiring harness for a automatic has one connector and the wiring harness for the 6 speed has three connection points. I think you'll have to change your whole engine/trans wiring harness for this to work.

If you just have the three connectors, you'll be able to splice into your existing harness. You'll need a tune taking your PCM from A4 to M6 since your speedo will be way off.

Cool Re: Trans Swap

I have a complete 1995 firebird with a 6 speed and all the wires and connectors. Also I just looked under the car and I though that the 93 had a vacume modulator on the trans, but I can't find it. Thanks for the help Ray
