Question Trans shifts to softly

This is my first z so im not sure if this is normal? When it kicks in from 1st to 2nd it does it super softly.. I hate to admit it but when i got on my friends v6 stang it kicks real hard when it goes to 2nd.. ANy way i can make mine shift firm? Maybe with a kit or a tune?

Thanks

In what conditions are you referring to when it shifts soflty? At full throttle, it should shift fairly hard (enough to bark the tires). Light throttle will be soft.

I got a tune and now my shifts are noticeably firmer. I'd start there. While you're at it you may as well get a 160 tsat and have them tune lower fan kick on temp.

Even if it doesn't bark the tires hitting second at full throttle, it should shift pretty hard.
If everything is stock (programming and such), it is more than likely due to worn components in the transmission. A change in tune or a shift kit won't be able to overcome that (at least, not for long).
