Trans cooler, need to remove trans to install?

So if I get a transmission cooler for my 700r4, do I need to remove the transmission to get the cooler setup?

I'm not precisely sure how the setup goes on the third-gens, but my tranny cooler install was one of the easiest mods (if you can call it that) that I have done to my car. You simply hook it up in line with your factory tranny cooler (integrated in the radiator, if you have one) and your done.

No. You will not be working near the transmission for a cooler install.
Its a fairly straightforward and simple install and one of the best things you can do for your transmission.
