trans brake for 4L60E

before you guys tell me to get a 4L80E IT DOES NOT BOLT UP TO THE V6 CAMARO's

Rossler will have trans brake out for the 4L60E soon and the 4L80E is out already. http://www.rosslertrans.com/4l80e.htm

Rossler biult my 4L60E, i want a trans brake becuase with the turbo i can't stall over 3000 RPM on the foot brake or the car rolls forward on me

www.rossler.com for more info.

I'm running 12.036 right now on 1.9 60 foots i realy only want to get the 60 foot down to 1.6's or so..

A trans brake on a 4l60e is a bad idea adding more shock and stress to an already weak trans, not only that but its definetly a bad idea with a stock 7.5 if you still have that in there. How about a higher stall speed like a 4000?

stalls are rated for trans brake stall not foot brake stall, from what i was told, so to get a stall i can foot brake to 3500 would probly be way to loose wouldn't it?

even a fully biult 4l60E can't take the trans brake?

also the rear is a eaton carrier with 3.42's and TA cover

Re: trans brake for 4L60E

If you have the Vig right now, then a torque converter change is only going to help a 1/10 in ET or a little more on the 60 foot times, unless the torque converter is mismatched to your current setup, which does happen. Trans-brakes do not improve 60 foot times in the majority of cases, just give more consistency for bracket racing, and are harder on the gear train.
