Okay my 4160 went out, I put in a 700r4. the problem Im having is when I manually shift at the track or street and go wot, it wont shift from 1-2 and 3-4. only when I let off then it will shift. I only shift manually at the track or when racing because it seems to shift at around 4,000rpm's when just having it in drive. I adj. the tv. cable but it dosen't help.

any ideas, I might have to take it to the shop that built the tranny...thanks for the help guys...

I'm having the same problem right now. I just finished my 383 LE2 and now my 4L60E won't shift at WOT from 2 to 3. Just cruising around, it shifts fine. I can't believe it's the trany, but I guess that's it. My TPS is set right, my program is ok, everything seems to be right. I can't figure it out. Everyone is telling me that it's the clutch pack.

I'm going to get out and adjust my TPS to read below 4.5 volts at WOT just to see if it will do anything different.

I've already been looking around for a new trans. Looks like I will probably be sending mine to CPT... if that's the problem.

Hopefully someone will chime in with the answer to our problems.

 

3-4 shift at the track? i think you mean the 2-3...125mph isnt even the end of 3rd gear...
its prolly the 1-2 band and the 3rd and 4th clutches...but im no expert, maybe frank can chime in
