Tranny shakes at 39-45mph....
I have a 1999 SLP Firehawk with 50k miles A4. Ever since I got a TCI 3000 Stall in my car shakes at about 39-45mph. I was told by a friend this was a balancing issue and welcome to moding my car, but I really feel this shouldn’t happen. Is this a mistake in the installer (local trany shop) or TCI the manufacturer? Also I noticed my car bangs off the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift. I think this is due to my tuner having it set too high, but I was also told my trany could be not catching. What does all this mean????

That's around the speed the torque converter locks up...try looking into that. Maybe try having your tuner set it so that it doesn't lock up, and see if it still does it.

The mount is fine. I had it replaced when I put the converter in. I'll also have my tuner look at that. Also I dont really understand what "locking up" is. Is that good or bad with my setup?

You don't want to lock the converter at WOT, but that's not what I'm talking about. Mine locked at 45mph stock at light throttle, and now locks at 41mph with my MadZ28 tune and 3.73s.
You are talking about part throttle driving, correct?

At WOT? Not sure what that means. Yes I am talking about throttle driving.
