Re: Tranny questions
You've got some good ideas and trust me a quality stall converter is going to really really wake your car up. No 3000rpm stall is not to high. I have a PI vigilante 3000rpm and absolutely love it. I drive my car every day and after about 2 days I didn't even notice a difference between stock(until I jump on the throttle atleast). Stick with a quality unit. Precision Industries Vigilante or Yank. Also you might want to consider a Trans-Go shift kit along with the B&M. A lot of people on this board have had good experiences with it. I have it and love it. One more thing, a tranny cooler is a MUST when installing a stall converter. Do not skip out on this. Stall's create a lot of heat and the cooler compensates for that drematically. Any brand will work, just get the largest capacity one you can find. They're only around $50-60 bucks. Good luck.
