tranny question behind built motor

here goes...

i just bought a 396 lt1 from jason short from here. its going to be making somewhere in the 410-440rwhp range. i had to take out a loan for this motor so money is VERY tight right now. my stock engine is blown and i can only drive my car 4 or 5 months out of the year so it really isn't an option to leave the car sitting for the summer.

will my stock 4l60e with an ss3600 converter hold that power for at least a little while? keep in mind it will never see the track. its a weekend cruiser/show car and takes an occasional 2 hour road trip.

opinions and advice are more than welcome here! thanks guys

yes it will. just take a block and put it under the gas pedal.

but seriously, not sure how long it will last if you beat on it. Which you will do. If you didnt, there would be no use in buying a motor that built.

There a hughes performance street strip for sale with a yank 3000 converter on this board for 800.00. Not a bad deal. Perhaps you can get it cheaper without the converter. Your stock tranny will break. It's not a matter of if, just when and where.
