my car is a 95 z a4 and at wot at about 4000 rpm the car will just rev in first and second gear
im i due for a rebuild?
have any of you guys had yours rebuilt?
and if so how much did it cost?

I have a guy here in Kokomo that will rebuild my tranny for $150 if i bring him the tranny and the rebuild kit. Expect to pay somewhere around $1,000 if u have a shop pull it and rebuild it and re-install.

 

I have been working on a spreadsheet of all the reputable 4L60E rebuilders, but I havent finished it yet. You can count on a rebuild being at least $1000. You have to really careful and do your research. Search on this board and LS1Tech and you will find a wealth of information.
