Tranny Mount replacement

The transmission mount on my '97 Z28 Convertible is real sloppy, so I have ordered a Prothane unit to replace it.
My question: - is there any trick to doing this re & re? I don't have a hoist so will be lying under the car using a jack to support the transmission.
I realize I must have the vehicle well supported. It's sitting on ramps along with 4 jack stands just to be safe.
Thanks for your help
Rick

Just jack the Trans up high enough to be able to get the old out an the new in. If the old one is broken through, you can even jack it up before loosening anything. Very straightforward, shouldn't take more than a half hour start to finish

Re: Tranny Mount replacement

Convertibles have an x-brace that attaches to the floor pan and the cross member that will have to come off before the cross member.
