so i went to advance auto and asked for a tranny mount and got a piece of metal...am i supposed to get a tranny mount and a bushing or are they supposed to come together or what? im confused

 

Do you have a pic of this? I could not think of what they could have given you... Search the internet for LT1 camaro tranny mounts.. Youll find a picture somwhere of what one is supposed to look like. And if your replacing yours because its broken then I would go with a poly one from like thunderracing. they are only like 25 bucks..

thanks for the pic...from what i can see that is what i have but its solid metal...it was 10 dollars which seemed very cheap to me...maybe its cheap because its gonna vibrate my car to death? maybe ill try and return it...

 

It is gonna vibrate the hell out of the car. I'd return it for the proper thing, looks like you got a solid mount.
