I was under the impression that all Z28's came with the transmission automatically in performance mode all the time. My buddies 95 TA has that button and when his is on the performance shift mode it shifts almost exactly the same mine did when it was stock. I have a 95 Z.

All you have to do is let out on the clutch a little faster

It's a myth. The PCMs have a "normal" mode and a "performance" mode. When the car is first started, you are always in normal mode.

So when does it go into performance mode? My car shifted dang hard on even part throttle shifts. the 1-2 shift on mildly damp surfaces resulted in the *** end kicking out a little. That was with just a cutout and cai and stock 2.73's. I have another buddy with a Z maybe I'll have to show him how to do that mod then. Is it hazardous to leave it on all the time? I wouldn't even put in a button and light, I'd just put it on performance and let er rip.
