I have a lt1 and i think my tranny is out. I was driving bout 50mph and the car jumped out of gear and stop pulling. I did pull the tranmission pan and found metal shaving in the the body, is this a for sure sign that the transmission needs to be rebuilt, or is it better to get another tranny?

 

We can rebuild it no matter what's wrong with it. If it stopped moving in both directions, you're probably looking at pump, converter, or output shaft failure.
