Tranny bolt help!
Tranny bolt help!
I am stuck on one of my tranny bolts for my car. It is an auto, and it is the top bolt on the driver side. I've tilted the tranny as far as it will go, but I can't get a rocket, swivel socket, or a crows foot on it. Can anyone help me?

After a grinded "popular mechanics" wrench, and about 10 minutesof finger tip finangling...I got the ****er.
Yes, some swearing did help.

It's out!

And this made me happy.

The old converter in this SOB felt like it weight almost 50 lbs. This new one weighs maybe 25 lbs. Thats a good amount of saved rotating weight! I can't wait untill my tranny comes back!!

That is hilarious! You tell that bolt! Granted your new convertor is smaller but the question is, did you put some fluid in it before bolting it up?? that is a good reason why the original weighs a lot more too. They hold probably a good 1-2qts.

I wonder what the actuall weight difference is. I will weigh them both before I put the new one on.
