tranny acting funny

went speed shifting today for first time,tried to shift from first to second at about 5k's and second wouldnt engage?what gives does anyone know what this is? how much it would cost to repair?

sounds like a syncro but couldn't tell you without driving or more info..does it only do it in second? Is the any noise? etc. Since I'm near Chicago, PM me and we can set something up for me to take a look at it. If it is inside the trans, then it could cost you either a few hundo up to a $1500-$2K for a rebuild...Unless I do it, I charge a lot less.
