Will not work
93 is a 700r4, 94 is an electronic version.

Do you need a new trans?

No, it won't work. The '93 is a 4L60 (non electronic), and the '94 is a 4L60E (Electronic).
The ONLY year transmission that will work in your '94 is a 1994 unit, because it's a "stand alone" year. In 1995, GM changed the lock-up strategy in the 4L60E to PWM, instead of the 1994's on/off arrangement. So, eventhough the '95 unit is still called a 4L60E, it's a different unit.

yea I need a new one because when i go to shift to second from low it wonts to rev all the way up and not shift unless i double stomp it. But all the other gears are fine. A rebuild might be better than a new one but I dont have the 4L60E I have a 700r4 from a chevy v6 astro van it the only things I could find at the time.
