Traction Issues w/ gears and stall?

Thinking about getting a stall converter, something fairly mild (2600-3000), but was wondering how traction would be afterwords. Its an A4 w/ 3.73's, and I do have suspension mods as shown in the sig.

you will have definite traction issues on street tires but a set of Nittos should cure it nicely. go with a 3000 stall at least. anything less is a waste on the LS1 since we don't make any real power until up above 3000 rpm anyway. personally i would go with a 3200-3400 for even better gains but a 3000 will yield a decent launch and excellent streetability.

personally, i can annhilate my tires anywhere under about 35 mph with my Vig 3200 (ignore the rating, its a 3800). however, with a good burnout, they hook like glue and i have almost as much gear as you in the back so a slightly lower stall should give you similar results.

ha...oops... o well, in the case of an LT1 i've heard good things about a 2800 though again, my friend has got a 93 with a 3200 and loves it too. either way i suggest around a 3000.

Don't go lower than 3200. I think no matter where you start out, you will eventually want it higher unless you start out in the 4000+ rpms range. I wish I would have started out at 3600. But Yank didn't have the SS series when I got my 2800 vig (3200). My car used to be a daily driver even in snow so its tame.
