Traction control?

Hi, I'm lookin to buy a axle housing for my camaro, and it has traction control and an axle from a TC car is hard to find. I want to keep everything the way it came (I really appreciate having that TC sometimes, I find it works very well in my car). Is TC (as well as abs) something that has to be built into the axle or is something that can be swapped from my axle to the new one? Sorry I dont know anything about it, and the shop I'm working with isnt open till monday so I figured I'd ask you guys. For reference, I'm looking at this axle

Thanks!

Re: Traction control?

Well here another thought, too. I didnt wnat to go aftermarket on the axle due to cost, so i was going to get a new, used rear. I was looking at speed-eng.com and they had moser 9 inch rears for $920 plus 100 for 4 channel abs (I'd assume that includes traction control?) What do you guys think? I dont want to spend a ton but around a thousand for an aftermarket, stronger rear sounds like a good deal to me. I was looking at 2 grand for 12 bolts and thats just out of my price range. I dont intend to race the car (at least, not for the forseeable future) but I want the thing to hold up, and I figure for a few hundred more then gettign a used axle I can get a stronger, new one. So I guess I'm looking for the best way to keep my stock functionality (abs, disc brakes, and TC) for a halfway low price. Also, are these things simple to install? I'll be taking it to a shop to have the work done, but I dont want to get killed on the install due to fabrication and whatnot. Or do you think I'd still be better off just getting a used axle? What's your guys suggestions? Thanks alot, again!

Brian
