Question Torque specs for the 12 bolt rear?

More specifically what are the torque specs in the Moser 12 bolt rear end for Torque Arm bolts?

I tightened em like hell one time and they started backing off And one I tightened too much and striped it and now I have a heli coil in there. Just curious if theres a torque spec cuz I couldn't find one. . .

MODS: Didn't know which forum to put this in since there isn't a suspension forum. So since its more specific to the type of rear end I put it in here. . .

Hi,
I tighten the main cap to 8o lbsft.

cover bolts 25-30 lbsft

Load screws 5 lbsft

Jam nuts 10 lbs-ft.

If your screws are comming loose (Torque arm? Stock or after market)?
If it's an after market make sure to use lock-tight red, but if you don't apply it right it wont work. Clean bolts on wire wheel first. then run a tap/thread chaser in the 12 bolt, blow the holes out with air. Next, use break cleaner/carb cleaner (spray, just easier to use) and hevily spray the bolts and the holes. Throw on a pair of thin latex gloves (keeps oil & dirt from your hands from contaminating the area) , air dry bolts and holes. Now that your materials are "Clean & Dry" apply one or 2 drops to the 4th-8th thread. The point here is not to get the lock tight on the front of the bolt because it will keep the bolt (in some cases) from going all the way in. Finaly, install the hard ware, I used a 1/2 impact (I/R titanium rated @ 1,000 Lbsft reverse) and I used grade 8 hardware. I made it tight as hell (the gun would of broken the bolt if I kept going, which is probably too tight, I think 100-120 lbsft would work). then let the car sit in the gerage for a bout a day so the red can harden, and that's it. Note: I did have to shim the torque arm. The mounting bracket was wider than the 12 bolt housing, I used a washer as a spacer, 1 on top and 1 below.
Good luck with your car.

I have a spohn t/a. . . Should I use a longer bolt since the base of the t/a is thicker than factory? If so, what length?

You will have to measure it to find out the length. Take the plate thickness (+) 3/4" (washer no thicker than 1/8th) so you should have about 5/8" into the 12 bolt. Double check to make sure that the bolt does not bottom out before it can clamp the bracket.
