I am planing on ordering a torque coverter for my 2000 SS and just want to know how hard it is to install it? I have good experiance with cars but want to know the difficulty rating for a converter install?

its basically like swap a trans because you have to take it completely off, it took me about 3 1/2 hours to remove the trans and converter and i will be re installing it tonight and it should be alot quicker to put back together.

Its no that hard at all just takes some time and a trans Jack.

Re: Torque Coverter Installation!?!?!

Like said above you have to pull the tranny, and these instructions are for a LT1, But the only differences in the LS1 would be bolt locations and possibly bolt/nut sizes. Good luck with it and if it is your first time expect to spend at least 4 hours unless you have access to a lift and air tools.
