Question Torque converter suggestions??

What do you guys recommend for the best torque converter? I've always heard great things about Vigilante, but they're so expensive. I can't picture that there would be much of a difference between torque converters. I mean there is lock-up torque converters for $350 and then there is the Vigilante for $650. I may be wrong, but that is a lot to spend for a torque converter. Are their any other brands that you guys would recommend that are strong, but yet still cost effective? Please let me know. Thanks!

Also if you do make a recommendation where would be a good place to get that torque converter? Please help me out.
