Torque Converter holes not lining up with TCI flexplate.

Ok I went ahead and installed my new TCI flexplate because my old stock one was cracked in three places. I bought a YANK ss3600 torque converter and put it in. After I put the tranny back up and bolted up, I went ahead and tried to line up the holes for the flexplate and stall so I could bolt it up. When i tried to, the hole wouldn't line up, I can spin the torque converter and turn the flexplate with a screw driver so its not like I can't line it up, and I spent about 30 minutes just trying to see if I screwed up anywhere. Now I heard you might have to drill out the whole for the flexplate, is that true and has anyone done it? Im sure theirs someone out there that has a tci flexplate and Yank stall, I can't see using that paper thin flexplate and a large stall. WILL I NEED SPACERS??!?!?!?? PLEASE HELP. i want to finish this up tomorrow!!!

My TCI flexplate has 2 complete sets of holes. If the tc won't line up turn the flexplate to the next hole and it should work for you.

they have a small bolt pattern and a large bolt pattern. you have to find out which one you have. most aftermarket flexplate's should have both.

If its the SFI one you will need to clean up the holes with a drill. Mine was very tight before I cleaned it up. I also test fitted mine to the converter prior before installing the flywheel.
