Torque converter drive
Torque converter drive
I have a 2000 ss camaro [ 3.73 gear ] with around 400 hp, I'am having a YANK 3000 thruster torque converter put on , I have never driven a car with a bigger converter , I wondering what it will be like to drive.
Re: Torque converter drive
is it the Yank 3000 'stealth thruster' ?
the typical response after install and driving for a while is 'I should have gone higher/bigger'. After a few drives,it'll feel like stock(stock OEM is 1800). With 373s',the preferred(on another forum) is a Yank SS3600 or Yank SS4000 or CircleD equivalents. I went from stock 1800 to a 2800 and now have a Yank SS3600,not disappointed. The higher 'flash' rating allows you to jump into a higher power part of the powerband

It'll be fine driving around in normal traffic.
