torque converter?
torque converter?
i see alot of guys here have and like the vig converters, but what about the one from yank, midwest, pro torque
i want a converter in the 3000 rpm range and have 3.73 gears, the car is mostly stock, full list of mods on my site in sig
i guess it comes down to str, how do you choose that?

As a rule of thumb, you want lower str for the street and higher str for the strip. The higher the str the harder it hits the tires. For your car you will probably be happier with a 3500 stall with a str in the 2.2 range. It will be a little loose but you'll be so happy about the extra half second it takes of your ET that you won't mind it one bit. I use a 4200 stall with a 3.0 str in my daily driver. It's real loose but with 1.5 60' times who cares.......
i have a 3200 vig 2.5 STR (in reality it stalls at 3800rpm, vig knowingly underrates them for some damn reason) and 3.42s. my 60 foots are pretty good for a 17 inch drag radial car with no real power.... (not being arrogant i just dont usually see cars setup like mine hit those numbers)...also its a daily driver...14 miles each way to class...for now at least.
in any case i highly recommend this converter....Yanks are supposedly the best there is out there but theyre expensive....a 2800 vig (probably around 3200 in reality) would be a nice choice for you IMO. good luck with the converter purchase.!
