Torque Converter

If i put a 3200 stall converter in my tranny that has 140,000miles is it going to hold? I plan on buying the stage 3 combination motorsports trans......and it doesn't come with the torque converter so i have to buy it seperate.....and was thinking of putting in my current trans.

Good or Bad idea?

If you put the new t/c on the old tranny and the tranny goes out or even if it starts slipping, material from the bands will be in the fluid. The filter can't get it all. When you change transmissions and put your t/c in the new tranny, you will also put the band material from the blown tranny into the fluid of the new one. Unless you have the t/c flushed first. I don't know if they can flush just the t/c or not. Even if they can, there's no way they can get all of the band material out. You're just asking for problems if you do this. Sorry.
