cant get the top two transmission bolts loose on the passengers side. The one that holds the dipstick tube and the one above that. i have tried extensions and a swivel socket nothing will work. i even tried a box wrench from the top but there isn't enough leverage to break the bolt free. anyone have any idea??

 

If you havent already let the weight of the trans hang down and you should be able to get it with a long extension and swivel. If you cant get adequate room you might try to disconnect the exhaust at the intermediate pipe and let it hang further. These are general tricks used on most vhicles, since you dont specify what you're working on.

 

sorry its a 1994 camaro with the 3.4 v6. i have removed thecatalytic converter cause it was just a straight pipe anyway. i can get a socket on the bolt that holds on the transmission dipstick but it will not budge i have already broke one swivel socket. i can get a box wrench on it from the top but cant break the bolts loose.
