Too much tranny fluid cause grinding??
After I changed my rear diff, and tranny fluid... a couple days later.. if I row into second gear too fast, it grinds.
This only started after I changed my tranny fluid. I used the same fluid and Brent did on his 96 Camaro SS (Mobil 1 ATF) but! I don't know if it was Dextron III... does anyone know if Mobil 1's ATF fluid is anything other than that? thanks
Assuming now that I have the right fluid in... could too MUCH cause a problem like this? Now I know I can just keep dumping bottle of fluid in.. I filled it untill it began to trickle out... well.. I have to say it didn't really trickle.. more than that, and it was cold. And when I talked to my shop teacher.. he said when the fluid is hot, it should just barely come out. So then he started talking about pressure build up and that too much fluid might be my problem.
Any ideas anyone? Could my problem be as simple as too much tranny fluid? *crosses fingers*
