tko into auto 90 iroc

The price on a TKO 600 is more reasonable then any other options i have for putting a manual in and it is more then strong enough to hold my near 400 foot pounds. Some questions...

I was told that i would need the bellhousing from a muncie m21 4 speed. Is this the only bellhousing that i can use? Where would i get hydraulics and linkages that would work with this bellhousing.

Also on one site i read that the torque arm from a manual would work fine with the trans but they sold a conversion bracket for 80 bucks if you had an auto. Are the torque arms different between the t-5's and the 700's? Can i just bolt up the torque arm from a t-5 car to mine?

Also does anyone know if my stock crossmember will work with this tranny?

Anything else i should know?

I do not think the TKO has a bracket for the torque arm but the B&M one should work on it . The bellhousing I would use would be the lakewood bell that will have a standard bolt pattern for the Chevy , fit the tremec bolt pattern and reuse the factory hydraulic design and parts .

By the time you purchase all of this stuff , why not install a T56 ?

Why not install a t-56. First of all they are basically impossible to find used up here in ontario canada. I have an auto so i need to buy all the conversion pieces anyways. I dont need a 6th gear, the tko is much cheaper brand new, and is rated to 500 ft lbs which is stronger then a t-56.

okay questions, i found this site http://www.5speedtransmissions.com/3rd_gen_camaro.html and it contradicts its self constantly.

It says the torque arm from a t-5 will bolt up fine but says you need a bracket if you had an auto car. But i think the torque arms are the same in all V8 third gens.

It also says the crossmember will work with no modification, but at the bottom says you need a relocation bracket because you will need to drill new holes for the crossmember.

Has anyone put one of these in their car?
