Exclamation Those of you with the big cams on the stock converters

You said you had no driveability issues at all? There is no surging, no idle problems or anything? Does it drive like stock basically? I want to do a cam, but it's going to be a street car with the ocassional track visit on street tires, so I don't want to spend the $$ on a converter if I don't need to.
