Are third and fourth gen driveshafts identical length?

Are third and fourth gen driveshafts identical length?

Are the fourth and third gen driveshafts interchangeable?

Yes they are. I transplanted a LS1 M6 driveshaft into an 305 85 T/A 700r4. Later I converted the 700r4 to a M6, and it still fit. Im not sure about the v6 shafts though.

Yes, V6 as stated below im pretty sure is a No.

actually, v6 is the same length, but, fourth gen v6 cars had a two piece shaft
