Is there something wrong with my rear end?

Ok so the right half of my driveway is a sheet of ice and the left is completely clear. My driveway is really steep and I had trouble getting up it last night because only the right rear was spinning on the ice. Is my limited slip shot or is this normal when one tire is on ice and the other is on dry pavement? On dry pavement or in the rain when i lose traction they both spin everytime so I'm hoping its only when traction differs between the two wheels.

Re: Is there something wrong with my rear end?

So which car was this in? The Z or v6? If you were in the Z, it sounds like the LSD is shot. I think LSDs are an option for v6s, not standard equip. When my LSD started to die, it would spin the right side on rt turns and be posi straight and left. Then it started losing posi going straight. It had alot of slop in the diveshaft with the rear wheels up on ramps.

Sounds normal for a limited slip differential.
