TH400 and VSS...please read
I've been searching this forum for an hour and I can't find the answer. In most of the posts people just say do a search.
I am installing a TH400 and replacing my 4L60e
The new TH400 came out of an old Nova and does not have the VSS like my 60.
Can I reuse the VSS out of the 60? If not, what are the part #'s for what I need? In all my searching I see that you need the sensor and a reluctor, but never saw any part #'s.
This is the last thing I need to figure out before I bolt the beotch in the car and measure for my new DS.
My other question is can I choose the 17 tooth version so that I can reprogram the PCM for M6 and not throw codes + have correct speed?
I saw folks talk about Dakota Digital and 17 vs. 40 tooth reluctors. Is there not a way to just install one or the other reluctor, not pay for the dakota translator and then pull the A4 program and put in an M6 program via PCM?
I appreciate any and all helpful input, please don't say do a search because I have and can't find ****
