TH400 Inspection cover bolts

Can anyone tell me what size bolts I need to put a transmission inspection cover on a TH400 Tranny? I've been to 4 auto stores and nobody knows. I didn't think it would be that tough to find, but it's like trying to locate hen's teeth.
TIA

I leave it off, so I don't know. I figure it just retains heat under there.

I think they were 1/4" coarse when i got mine.. but i'm just guessing. Go to the hardware store and get a bunch of random coarse bolts that look about right and then try em out at home. Since a th400 is so old everything seems to be standard coarse thread.
